North Bay is a fabulous community in a unique location. We are surrounded by large and small lakes and are the land bridge between the Ottawa River watershed and that of the Great Lakes. Our 2 waterfront lakes are Lake Nipissing and Trout Lake. The main waterfront is on the shores of Lake Nipissing and offers our marina, beaches, splash pad, playgrounds, Chief Commanda cruise, Heritage Carousel, and Miniature Train, and an Arboretum along our boardwalk.

North Bay is home to Canadian Arm Forces Base North Bay, the decommissioned NORAD Bunker, Jack Garland Airport, Northgate Shopping Square, Memorial Gardens Arena, and the Battalions Jr. Hockey team. We enjoy skiing and tobogganing at the Laurentian Ski Hill and the North Bay Cross Country Ski Club. The Steve Omischl Sportsplex is home to most of our outdoor sports and the YMCA hosts indoor sports as well as our pool or take a walk, roll, or bike ride on the Kate Pace Way. Our town is full of Olympians and NHL Hockey Players!

Downtown North Bay boasts a fabulous shopping district, including The Flower Garden, and some great restaurants. Keep your eyes peeled for famous actors - we usually have several movies shooting in our downtown area. Sometimes it is a winter wonderland in July! North Bay is the perfect place to vacation and an even better place to live. From sports, bowling, swimming, playgrounds, horticulture, farmers markets, art galleries, theaters and museums, shopping, Canadore College and Nipissing University, we have something for every one. North Bay is a fabulous retirement town with options from waterfront condos to historical buildings turned seniors care. Our waterfront boasts a fabulous boardwalk with an arboretum, marina, splash pad, playground, beach and marina.
