Welcome to Sundridge, the perfect little community in the heart of the Almaguin Highlands. Located on the shores of beautiful Lake Bernard - the largest fresh-water lake in the world without an island! Aside from that, we know it as a large, quiet lake great for swimming, sailing, canoeing, waterskiing, fishing and so much more.
Sundridge is a hub for winter activities. Ice fishing and snowmobiling are favorites, as well as cross country skiing, snowshoeing, trapping, skating, and the odd polar dip! In the summer take in our walking trails, splash pad, Copeman's tree farm, Lion's park, High Rock Park, Fall Fair, and events like the Sunflower Festival, Christmas Tree Lighting, New Years Family Celebration, and many community dinners from turkey to spaghetti to fish fries and wild game dinners.
We are famous for our hockey players and referees and we take pride in being a strong hockey community. Sundridge is also known for hosting the Near North Enviro-Education Centre which empowers rural communities to become models for sustainable living by providing access to education, information, and hands-on learning opportunities. The Enviro Center works in conjunction with other groups like the Strong Agricultural Society, the local public schools, the Glen Bernard Girls Camp, and the town council to promote education in our area.
Sundridge is the number one tourist destination for winter or summer if you like to do any of the following, such as; Golf, Swimming & Splash Pad, Water Sports, Snowmobiling, and Ice Fishing. We offer plenty of fun cool places to explore such as the Copperhead Distillery, Lions Park, High Rock Look Out, and especially the Strong Agricultural Society Heritage House and Museum if you love agriculture and conversation.
